ALIWAL SHOAL DIVE SITE
Just off the coast of Umkomaas, Aliwal Shoal is rated
among the top ten scuba sites in the world where
divers can visit three wrecks or swim with spotted
ragged tooth sharks.

Besides crocodiles, Crocworld features snakes, a wild
water-bird park, a curio shop and a fully licensed
restaurant.
GOLFING
The South Coast is also known as the Golf Coast where
eight golf courses
can be found within 45 minutes drive from Margate.
MODEL CAR RACING
At the Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground, visitors and
novices can bring their cars and compete in special
classes. Both the off-road and on-road tracks are of
international standard.
ORIBI GORGE NATURE RESERVE
One of the most scenic reserves in southern KwaZulu
Natal, Oribi Gorge has attractive picnic sites and
several walking trails. Oribi Gorge also offers the
highest abseil in the world and river rafting down the
Umzimkulu River.
RIVERBEND CROCODILE FARM
Ramsgate -
Besides hundreds of crocodiles, the Riverbend Crocodile
Farm includes a curio shop, an information centre, a
quaint art gallery and a tea room.
UMTAMVUNA NATURE RESERVE
A botanical paradise, Umtamvuna Nature Reserve offers a
number of walks and fantastic scenery. Numerous mammals
and bird species can be seen including a breeding colony
of the Cape Vulture.
VERNON CROOKES NATURE RESERVE
